Fundraising is illegal?

I operate and cats to save a little in my district, I wanted to know if I may to do all the fundraising and if it any limits, what can I do? I am not a 501c3 yet (not until the end of this year or next will be the first) but I really need to raise money for the to raise cats in our rescue. Even though I am not a 501c3, I can not mention any donations and, as above, there are no limits, what can I do? If I host fundraising events, I need in my city or town, to get permission to go and what is the best way speak for my company event (s)? Thank you! www.anotheroptioncatrescue.petfinder.org

You can fund raise, but you can not state or imply in any way that you express a taxpayer charity (and should be safe say that you are not), and no money will get taxed (probably for you personally, unless you are as a company in operation)
